RIGID FLOORS: PORCELAIN, CERAMICS, MARBLES, GRANITES
Hard floors, also called cold floors, are those made from porcelain, ceramics, natural/artificial stones, and concrete (or cement). It is evident that each type of construction demands a different technical solution and each person also has a different level of demand in relation to the finish and style of each environment.
As you can imagine, it would be very strange (and inappropriate) in a warehouse, where operators and machines circulate, the use of polished white porcelain floors or a sports court with MDF laminate flooring. The trivial more appropriate option would be the use of polished concrete (cold floor) in both cases or it would even be acceptable to use hardwood flooring on the court but in long pieces.
Obviously, some variations and pattern breaks are acceptable. Unlike the industrial warehouse with porcelain, a house can contain a wonderful polished concrete floor just like a factory and take on an industrial style, for example. A swimming pool gaining super modern style with the use of special flamed granites on the deck or a house receiving cold floors heated for the winter, with many ceramics, porcelain, and natural stones as different options.
